Celebrate Holi Festival 2021 at home with Jaisalmer Indian Craft Gin cocktails

Holi Festival, also known as the Festival of Colour, will be celebrated this year between 28th and 29th March 2021. On the first day of this Hindu festival, people traditionally gather around a bonfire and celebrate the triumph of good over evil. On the second day of celebrations, the tradition involves throwing multi-coloured perfumed powder called gulal at friends and family, to create a glorious rainbow in parks and gardens across the globe.

In celebration of Holi Festival, Jaisalmer Indian Craft Gin has created three bespoke cocktail recipes to celebrate at home this year with friends and family. The cocktails have been designed to reflect the traditional colours of gulal paint powder associated with Holi Festival – Red, Yellow and Green. Gulal powder comes in many colours with red symbolising love, yellow symbolising turmeric, green symbolising Spring and blue symbolising Krishna, a mischievous Hindu God.

Rampur Asava Indian Single Malt Whisky, produced in the same distillery as Jaisalmer Gin at the foothills of the Himalayas has also partnered with leading chocolatier, Paul A. Young to create a delicious and colourful chocolate truffle for Holi Festival, Rampur Asava Thandai. Rampur Asava is the world’s first single malt whisky matured in American Bourbon Barrels carefully finished in Indian Cabernet Sauvignon casks.
