NEW LAUNCH: Burt’s Bees x Wild Fawn Jewellery

To celebrate the new look of Burt’s Bees iconic Beeswax Lip Balm Tin, the brand has teamed with sustainable jewellery brand Wild Fawn to create a limited-edition charm
necklace (£96.00).

Inspired by traditional beehives known as skeps, each necklace is hand-crafted in London from recycled sterling silver and the charm opens to reveal a nestling honey bee. Available exclusively from wildfawnjewellery.com, 10% of sales will be donated to the Bee Friendly Trust. In addition to the percentage of sales from Wild Fawn, Burt’s Bees have made a charitable donation to the trust to help them continue their vital work.

The Bee Friendly Trust is a non-profit organisation started by two beekeepers and they are on a mission to help honey bees and pollinators thrive. It all started with some bee-friendly planters at Putney station, now 7 years later they have expanded across the rail network creating much needed habitats for pollinators, from small planters to larger gardens. They also work closely with communities, providing educational workshops to help make the nation a more bee-friendly environment.

ABOUT THE BEE FRIENDLY TRUST

The Bee Friendly Trust creates spaces for honey bees and other wildlife to thrive. It all began with two urban beekeepers, Luke and Qais, putting some bee-friendly planters on Putney Station in West London. The aim was to increase forage for urban bees. That was in 2016. From this one small project the charity was born. Nearby stations asked for planters. Network Rail and Transport for London got involved. The two beekeepers were joined by others. Now the charity has a team of specialists and volunteers dedicated to making the nation more pollinator friendly through:

· A network of planters and gardens on the national transport network
· Educational artworks in public spaces
· Workshops and events for every age
· Its annual Bee Friendly Town Awards, which celebrate community-driven wildlife initiatives
