As part of our recent mission to help show you how to make small lifestyle changes and still enjoy delicious treats, we’ve teamed up with NUTRISEED to review their superfood porridge and some of the tasty toppings you can use alongside. Breakfast is one of the most important meals of our day and a lot of us (myself included) often skip it in favour of a large cup of tea or coffee on the go. One of my own reasons for skipping breakfast is quite simply lack of time. By challenging myself recently to actually give making speedy breakfasts a go, I’ve learned that it is surprisingly easy to make things that will set you up perfectly for the day.
We received some amazing breakfast goodies from NUTRISEED and they arrived quickly and without any hassle at all. Each of the bags contained things like their Superfood Porridge and lots of different nuts, seeds and berries.
I chose to make my porridge on the hob as with it being Saturday I felt like I had more time to do this. It turns out I needn’t have worried anyway though as it only took about five minutes to cook before it was ready to serve up! However if you are really pushed for time, then this can also be microwaved so there really is no excuse for not making this as part of your breakfast routine. Just add milk and heat it up and you’re good to go!
We cut up some banana as an extra weekend treat and spooned the hot porridge over the top of this. This was delicious but the porridge is equally as good on its own. It is thick, tasty and if you have a bit of a sweet tooth it is instantly uplifted by adding a little squeeze of agave nectar over the top like we did.
