Galentine’s Day has become quite a ‘thing’ right now and this year I’m definitely finding myself embracing this side of the more traditional Valentine’s Day celebrations as the years go by. As coined by the awesome ‘Leslie Knope’ from Parks and Rec, GALentine’s day is all about showing your nearest and dearest girlfriends how much they are appreciated too!

So if you are looking for some Galentine’s day inspiration check out some of my top tips below for spoiling your bestie on February 14th and sharing the love with those who always have your back!
Celebrating Galentine’s day and treating your friends doesn’t have to be expensive. Why not buy a sweet little gift bag and fill it with some treats that you know your friend will appreciate. That could be mini samples of their favourite product or their chocolate bar of choice! These little gift bags cost me 99p each from my local high street (pound land would be an amazing place to pick up some bargains too!) and they look so lovely when filled with treats and accessories.
If you have a friend who deserves pampering, then makeup products and face masks are a great option. I made up a couple of bags for my closest friends and they make for a simple but impromptu gesture.
These nail polishes from Leighton Denny are the perfect shade for Valentine’s day and mean that your friend can treat herself to a mini manicure from the comfort of her sofa!
If you fancy treating your bestie to an amazing mascara then Eyeko Lash Alert! Mascara is priced at £19.00 and would be just the thing! A botanical-fueled energising formula, infused with caffeine and a double dose of fibres to lift the sleepiest of ‘bed lashes’ for perkier volume, curl and care all day. Lash Alert will improve long-term elasticity and resilience for naturally thicker lashes, around the clock. Available on www.eyeko.co.uk.
To accentuate the eyes a little more, why not pop an eyeliner into your Galentine’s day gift bags? This one from one of my all time fave’s Soap & Glory is perfect for creating that dark and dramatic smoky eye look for Valentine’s day. Find it at www.boots.com now.
For some pampering skincare treats, products from brands such as Nakin would be the perfect way to switch up your skincare during the colder winter months. Anti-ageing and easy to apply, these handy travel sized items would be perfect to pop into your Galentine’s day gift bags! Find out more about Nakin here: www.nakinskincare.com
Treating your friend to a super cute sample sized fragrance or a reasonably priced full sized bottle is a wonderful way to show how much you care. Fragrance is a pretty personal thing so make sure you have a general idea of the type of scent she likes before rushing out to buy one! GHOST Sweetheart is a pretty safe bet for fans of all fragrances as it is feminine, soft and delicate. You can find this in most department stores and at boots.com
For a full sized fragrance that is luxurious but won’t break the bank, try heading to M&S. Their latest fragrance collection is absolutely stunning and works wonderfully for everyday wear and for Valentine’s day or Mother’s day gifting! The Fragrance Collection, all £12.50 for 100ml, are available exclusively from Marks & Spencer stores nationwide and online at www.marksandspencer.com now.
A face mask like these from Skyn Iceland would also be great to pop into your Galentine’s day gift bags as the ultimate relaxing pamper product. Their Hydro Cool Firming Eye and Face Gels are ideal when you need to soothe tired eyes. Great to keep on hand for those skin ’emergencies’ or simply to pamper yourself! Find out more at www.skyniceland.com
Hopefully this post has inspired you to share the love with anyone who means the most to you this Valentine’s day and that you all have a wonderful day, celebrating however you want!
