Armani Prima Review – as the weather turns colder, our skin tends to need that extra bit of pampering. I’m a firm believer in the fact that if there’s one area that it is worth spending a little more on, it has to be skincare. The Armani Prima range is newly released and is already causing a quite a stir on the beauty scene. Don’t forget to check out last week’s Giorgio Armani Lip Magnets Review when you’ve read this feature!
Giorgio Armani Prima Review
The Giorgio Armani Prima skincare range just exudes luxury. The packaging is crisp and clean and the products themselves are of the highest of quality and genuinely beneficial to your skin. During winter these are going to be the kind of products you’ll want on your vanity, to keep your skin perfectly prepped, hydrated and glowing.
Giorgio Armani Prima Smart Moisture Serum
This is a beautiful product for the colder winter months. The Armani Smart Moisture Serum delivers a targeted concentration of moisture to the different areas of the face. This lightweight, watery serum is rapidly absorbed into the skin and can be applied before makeup to deliver targeted moisture throughout the day. I usually apply this onto the back of my hand first, using the pipette and then gently dot onto my face using my fingertips.
You can use this all over the face if you wish (I usually do as my skin is quite dry) or just apply to target areas. Gently massage into the face using circular movements and instantly feel your skin soak up this intensive treatment. Makeup applies flawlessly over the top of this and it always leaves my face feeling hydrated and fresh. Perfect for your morning skincare routine! Armani Prima Smart Moisture Serum is priced at £60 and is available from John Lewis, ArmaniBeauty.co.uk and various retailers.
Giorgio Armani Prima Lip and Eye Contour Perfector
The Giorgio Armani Prima Lip and Eye Contour Perfector is another brilliant addition to this range and is one of the products that I didn’t immediately gravitate towards, but that I’ve found myself using a lot of! A little of this goes a long way and less is definitely more. Simply place this under the eyes to reduce puffyness and create a gorgeous base for under-eye concealer. This clever little product also has a brightening effect that helps skin to look more luminous. You can also use it around the lips to reduce the appearance of fine lines. Priced at £35 this is available from John Lewis, ArmaniBeauty.co.uk and other retailers.
Giorgio Armani Prima Glow-On Moisturizing Balm
The Giorgio Armani Prima Glow-On Moisturizing Balm is a gorgeous winter beauty essential. As you can see from the image below, this is a thick, decadent balm that really means business when it comes to hydrating and perfecting your skin! I like to apply this by scooping a small amount onto my fingertips and allowing it to warm a little before gently massaging onto my face, paying particular care to any areas that usually look dry and dull.
The result is beautifully plumped and illuminated skin that feels hydrated and soft. It is also worth noting how much attention to detail Armani have paid to the fact that skincare products like these need to create the perfect base for our foundation. All of these products work wonderfully alongside my various foundation and concealer brands and as a result, they won’t be leaving my vanity for the rest of the winter months. All in all, this is an impressive, well thought out launch from Giorgio Armani that is certainly deserving of the hype. The Giorgio Armani Prima Glow-On Moisturizing Balm is priced at £62 and is available from John Lewis, ArmaniBeauty.co.uk and other retailers.
