This time they are taking things one step further with its latest “galaxy and beyond” approach to beauty. Benefit BADgal Bang mascara is Benefit’s first new mascara launch in three years. BADgal BANG! 36 hour full-blast volumizing mascara creates massive volume without weighing down lashes.It promises to be a Smudge-proof, water-resistant, volumizing mascara. One of the key ingredients, which gives BADgal BANG! its gravity-defying quality is aero particles, which are the lightest raw materials known to man and commonly used in space technology – giving mascara-lovers everywhere a buildable formula without the weigh-down. It’s also smudge-proof, flake-free and water-resistant, containing pro-vitamin B5, which is known to fuel thickness and strength.
What’s it really like to use?
Now after seeing all of the hype around the launch of this mascara and the now infamous trip to promote the launch you might be preparing yourself to be a little bit underwhelmed with the product itself. It’s a well known fact that sometimes it’s hard for a brand to actually live up to the hype they’ve created. So when Benefit took a group of bloggers and Youtube stars away to the Maldives for a huge trip to promote the release, it raised a lot of questions within the online community around brand budgets, how they are being spent and the nature of beauty product promotion in general.
However, when you use the Benefit BADgal Bang mascara for the first time it’s immediately clear that this is a product that really does deserve to be in the spotlight. It is absolutely beautiful!
The Benefit Badgal Bang Mascara wand itself is one of the definite plus points. The wand is easy to use and actually bends with your own movements. The bristles are somewhat similar to the Benefit Rollerlash mascara but BADgal bang creates more thick and intensely volumised lashes. With one coat you can get a really great look, but build it up and you have a seriously dramatic effect!
This mascara is completely pitch black and it’s perfect for when you really want statement lashes to complete your look. This creates thick lashes rather than defined and spidery, so choose it when you want to add some extra drama to your daytime or evening look!
It’s waterproof and long lasting (to the point where you will need a REALLY good waterproof makeup remover to get this to budge at the end of the day!) and perfect for this time of the year when the weather is cold, rainy and you need a mascara that won’t let you down.
