Viva Cruises

River cruise specialist, VIVA Cruises, is currently building its very first ship to join the company’s 10-strong fleet in June 2021. VIVA ONE will feature hybrid technology, 95 cosy cabins and suites, three different restaurants and plenty of amenities along its journey along the scenic Danube river.

VIVA ONE will be making its maiden voyage on 26 June to 3 July 2021, when it will sail from Frankfurt to the picturesque German town of Passau. The ship will be sailing along the Danube and visiting a variety of German cities including Frankfurt, Miltenberg, Würzburg, and Nuremberg. The cruise is priced at €1,195 per person (approximately £1,012).

VIVA ONE follows the recent re-launch of VIVA TIARA and will be the second ship sailing under the VIVA Cruises flag.  The name “ONE” not only refers to being the very first ship built by VIVA Cruises but is also linked to the brand’s future.

Andrea Kruse, COO of VIVA Cruises, says:

“VIVA ONE is the first of many ships that we will be building over the upcoming years. We are extremely excited as a new build VIVA ONE has our ideas, concepts and design at the forefront.”

VIVA ONE is the first ship in the VIVA Cruises fleet to use state-of-the-art hybrid technology that is kinder to the environment. The ship will use using sulphur-free GTL (Gas to Liquid) fuel, which significantly reduces CO² consumption and emissions. VIVA ONE will also see an important reduction of plastic on board and the use of more environmentally friendly materials.

The ship will have 87 spacious cabins and eight suites, all of them featuring light blue and green colours and beauty products from luxury cosmetic brand, Rituals. Common areas on different levels will be connected by wide set of stairs offering the feeling of light and space. VIVA ONE will also have a spa and wellness area with sauna and steam room; a fitness studio; and a hot tub on the deck.

Guests on-board VIVA ONE will benefit from three different dining options – all of them included in the cruise package part of the VIVA All-Inclusive product. Riverside will be the ship’s main restaurant, offering buffet breakfast, à la carte lunch and dinner menus and flexible opening hours. On the other hand, Moments will be the place to go for top-class specialty food, accompanied with light entertainment. The third option, VIVA’s Bistro, will offer a casual atmosphere and a wide selection of snacks and smaller dishes – including salads, sandwiches and burgers. Vegetarian and vegan meals will be also featured in the menu.
