Travel Friendly Beauty | Foundation and Lipgloss Faves

travel friendly beauty

As you may have guessed from my recent features (in which I won’t shut up about my upcoming travels!) I’m off to NYC soon and all I can think about is what travel friendly beauty I want to take with me and what I’m going to try and pick up whilst in the states. I recently teamed up with House of Fraser who kindly provided me with the opportunity to pick a couple of beauty products to review and take travelling with me. Keep reading below to find out what I picked and why…

House of Fraser have a fab lipstick selection, but seeing as it will be so hot in New York I decided that I wanted something light, summery and glossy. I had heard great things about the Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss so I was excited to try this one out. I opted for the shade Nude – No. 363. This turned out to be the perfect choice for a natural and ‘your lips but better’ shade.

The formula isn’t sticky or uncomfortable to wear and it gives a beautiful, pigmented sheen. Considering this shade is a nude it really does look stunning on. There’s no sparkle, just shine and this looks lovely for casual everyday wear. Priced at £23 it isn’t the cheapest lipgloss on the block but as with all Dior beauty products, this one is well worth the money.

Bareminerals Complexion Rescue

The next product I chose was the bareMinerals complexion rescue tinted gel cream. This has SPF 30 and is a really lightweight product. It doesn’t give full coverage, but what it does do is moisturise and protect your face from the sun. The fact that it adds a slight bit of a tint to your face whilst doing so is ideal. This would be great for those days when you don’t want your face to look completely caked in makeup. The natural look is perfectly achieved by this product! Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried these products and what your thoughts were.
