October Beauty & Lifestyle Favourites

October Beauty

So many gorgeous products have caught our eye lately, that the October beauty and lifestyle round-up has been seriously hard to put together!

We’ve somehow managed to narrow down our top picks in October beauty to the following products though, so let us know what you’ve been loving this month, by leaving a comment below….

[ 1 ]  First up is the luxurious Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting EyeShadow 5-Color Palette. RRP £40.00. This truly is a little slice of heaven in make-up form. The colours are absolutely perfect for Autumn and winter wear and can take you from day to night, with flawless ease. The eyeshadows themselves are creamy, smooth and just glide on to the eyelids like a dream. The black and gold packaging is decadent and would make for a great Christmas gift idea as well as being small and compact enough to take on the go. I can’t wait to purchase the rest of the collection!

[ 2 ]  Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 mascara from tarte. This 4-in-1 mascara from tarte Cosmetics is formulated to provide four lash benefits – lengthening, curling, volumising and conditioning. Never feel lash-lacklustre again and flutter your lashes with style. These have an introductory price of £17.76 at QVC qvcuk.com at the moment and are still receiving rave reviews from the blogger and beauty expert community. I’m already a complete convert to ‘Lights, Camera, Lashes’ and if all of the Tarte products are just as good, my bank account could be feeling the strain next month as I’m desperate to try out more from this brand!

[ 3 ]  I love Honey scented beauty products and was pleasantly surprised to learn that Vaseline’s new limited edition lip balm would feature this luxurious fragrance. Vaseline Lip Therapy – Queen Bee comes in a beautiful tin and leaves lips feeling soft and protected from the cold. So addictive!

[ 4 ]  I have two new fragrance favourites this month. The first is Estee Lauder Modern Muse Chic Eau de Parfum. The 30ml has a RRP of £45.00 and it is the perfect pick for the weather we’re having right now. The scent provides an alluring contrast of sparkling florals and sleek, sensual woods, that are uplifting and vibrant to the senses. The carefully constructed blending of two distinctively different yet equally dynamic accords provides an intriguing, innovative dual impression.  The fragrance notes are: Exotic Mandarin, Honeysuckle nectar, dewy petals, jasmine sambac, amber wood, fresh lily, patchouli coeur, patchouli crist, china absolute. The scent comes perfectly housed in a stylish and sleek bottle, making it an autumn/winter fragrance that you most definitely need in your life.

[ 5 ] My second favourite fragrance for October has to be My Burberry. Inspired by the trench coat and its heritage of British design and craftsmanship, My Burberry captures the fragrance of a London garden after the rain. The scent is a contemporary British grand floral and features a delicate heart of rose, woven with an unexpected touch of geranium leaf. This is such an unusual scent and it has me absolutely captivated! I receive so many compliments when I wear it, and the packaging of the bottle is exquisite. The tortoiseshell effect lid is so unique and really stands out when on display. My Burberry Eau de Parfum was created by Francis Kurkdijan in collaboration with Burberry chief exec, Christopher Bailey. The aim was a timeless yet contemporary fragrance representing the legacy of the Burberry brand and I think it is safe to say that they’ve done just that.

[ 6 ] Last but not least, I’ve added a book in to the mix this October, because it really does deserve a mention. Very British Problems is based on the hugely popular @SoVeryBritish Twitter feed. Created in December 2012, @SoVeryBritish now has over 800k followers, including: Jennifer Saunders, Ant and Dec, Alexa Chung, David Walliams, Tom Hiddleston, Tom Felton, Ricky Gervais, Hugh Laurie, Yoko Ono, Sarah Millican, Sarah Jessica Parker and Ellie Goulding. The book is genuinely, laugh out loud funny and would make for a great winter read or Christmas gift idea!
