July 2014 Summer Beauty Picks

Summer Beauty Picks

This month I’ve been finding myself reaching for such a wide selection of products. This is mostly thanks to the ever changeable great British weather. One minute we’re basking in beautiful sunshine and the next, we could resemble drowned rats thanks to a sudden downpour!

July’s Summer beauty picks are a little bit of a mixed bag so far this month, but here’s the low-down on all of the amazing beauty treats that we’re loving! You can find the full information and links to buy, below.

The Bakewell Soap Company have come up with some absolutely amazing soaps, that are perfect for summer. We’ve been loving their Rhubarb, Raspberry and Coconut Cream soap (which is every bit as wonderful as it sounds) and the Beekeeper’s Delight soap which gives a great lather, is moisture rich and perfect for soothing and moisturising dry summer skin.

If you’re having problems with frizzy hair, thanks to the crazy humidity levels in this unpredictable weather then try the John Frieda Frizz Ease Nourishing Oil Elixir, available from Boots.com. A little goes a long way and helps keep your hair smooth, soft and most importantly, frizz free!

To create beautiful, aqua summer eyes then Benecos eyeshadow duo ‘Ocean’ is the perfect colour combination for the hot summer months, consisting of a jade green and an enchanted teal. These colours really make your eyes sparkle and are beautifully pigmented. Available from www.benecos.co.uk and independent health & beauty stores nationwide.

Clinique Moisture Surge tinted moisturiser with SPF 15 has been a firm beauty favourite this month. It is light enough to wear on a everyday basis and gives a subtle coverage, leaving skin soft, smooth and moisturised. Great for those summer days when you want to achieve a light, simple and easy to apply coverage without wearing a full face of heavy make-up. Apply with your fingertips or a brush, depending on your personal preference.

If you are looking for a great drugstore concealer then Seventeen Stay Time Concealer is a budget friendly option that gives great coverage and is perfect for popping in your beach bag. It is easy to blend and works well as an everyday beauty product for summer.

Always a firm favourite, e.l.f cosmetics have really got your back when it comes to summer beauty and make-up picks. Their Mineral Face Primer is absolutely wonderful for filling in fine lines and keeping your make-up in place during the warmer months. We’ve been using it alongside the e.l.f flawless finish foundation. These are both long lasting products that will see you through summer in style.

If you’re looking to protect and style your hair this summer then the Mark Hill Holiday Hair range is a sure bet. They are gorgeously scented and include everything you need for summer ready hair, including their handy protection spray and beach babe sea salt wave sprays for some seriously cute natural curls.

Last but not least, our summer blusher of choice comes from Lily Lolo. Their amazing pressed blush is highly pigmented, velvety smooth and is great for adding a natural glow to summer skin.

Absolutely stunning and perfect for using with the super soft Lily Lolo brushes range which are one of our hot ‘must have’ buys for this year, thanks to their wonderful quality. Look out for more on these, coming soon!
