With so many new products launching lately it’s proving a little bit hard to keep up with what’s hot and what’s not! The Urban Decay Troublemaker mascara has just been released and I’ve been putting it to the test over the past few days. With mixed reactions from beauty bloggers online, I was keen to try it out for myself and have been really impressed with the results! Here are just a few of the things that you’ll love about the newest addition to the Urban Decay family.

It’s impossible to look at the Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara and not be a little bit blown away by the packaging. This ‘oil slick’ design is all the rage right now and it really is a thing of beauty. The outer tube has a prismatic finish that catches the light from all angles and it’s weighty enough that it sits perfectly in your hand for application. Everyone who sees this in store is going to be immediately curious as it’s totally different from anything else I’ve seen. If you are a sucker for pretty beauty products to display on your vanity, you’ll be eagerly reaching for this with grabby hands!
2. The Urban Decay Troublemaker Wand
Now, usually I find that my favourite mascaras are those with a chunky, thick wand. However the Urban Decay troublemaker mascara wand has been designed to comb and separate lashes to make it look like you have more of them. The tiny precision hooks grab lashes to pull the product through. It bends and moves nicely to really get into the corner lashes and if you’re looking to create a high-impact, fanned out lash look then this is going to be your new BFF.
3. The Urban Decay Troublemaker Formula
Overall I’m really impressed with this mascara launch. It has been getting mixed reviews, mostly due to it being labelled it as ‘Sex Proof’ – this was always going to get everyone talking really wasn’t it?! In my books though, what Urban Decay has achieved with this launch has actually been pretty genius. The product is edgy, new and exciting. It’s a mascara that has dared to be different and I love that Urban Decay has really thought outside the box to come up with Troublemaker. Everyone wants to try it and we’ve all been absolutely suckered in by that packaging (I still can’t stop staring at it) so there’s no doubt that it’s a roaring success.
The mascara itself is absolutely perfect for everyday wear, it leaves lashes looking longer and more defined for a dark and dramatic look. Whilst it most certainly ISN’T waterproof and I wouldn’t say my lashes are as thick looking as they are with some other mascaras, it is definitely beautiful quality, long lasting and highly dramatic for that perfect autumn beauty look right now.
