The great thing about Give as you Live, is that funds are raised at no cost to the shopper; because retailers have signed up to donate a percentage of the sale price. Now, Give as you Live’s new price comparison engine helps users to get something back for themselves, while they do good for the causes close to their heart. Here’s a simple breakdown of how to use Give as you Live:
1. Visit the Give as you Live website, register and select the charity closest to your heart and the one you wish to donate to
2. Next download the browser extension which will automatically scan and track you every time you search for an item or retailer on Google (the Give as you Live logo will appear too and the percentage the retailer will donate)
3. You can also search for specific items via the Give as you Live website which ensures each product you buy makes a donation
4. At the check out, ensure that Give as you Live is on (shown in the picture above) and viola! – the donation is made and you have the item you intended to buy but with a donation to charity at no cost to you!
After you have made your purchase, Give as you Live will send you a follow up email to thank you and let you know how much you have raised.
As you can see from the image above, the browser extension will keep track of the total you have raised since registering. We love the concept behind this and think that for all of us shopaholics out there it’s a fab way of raising funds for your favourite charities, simply by doing something you love!
