Chic Home Decor Picks For Simple Shelf Styling

Home Decor

Having recently moved house, we have been looking for stylish finishing touches to brighten up shelving spaces and alcoves around the home. Whilst things aren’t quite finished yet, I’ve taken a few snaps of some of the best items we’ve found so far.

shelf home decor tipsAdding height to your shelves is important. You want your finished look to be stylish and interesting. Choosing some ornaments and décor pieces that are varied in size ensures this. I fell head over heels in love with this white ceramic Buddha and a caramel candle from Homesense. Homesense is a store that you need to visit if you are looking for an exciting selection of home décor picks. They are always on-trend and have something new and exciting each time you stop by! You can’t buy online but if you visit the website you can find out where your nearest store is.

Priced at £27.95 it adds a gorgeous pop of colour to our shelves and it just so happens to be one of my favourite books (and movies) of all time.

The image on the front is stunning so you could also display this book standing up to show it off to its true potential.

On its first publication in 1925, The Great Gatsby was largely dismissed as a light satire on Jazz Age follies. Today, it is acknowledged as a masterpiece: a love story, an exploration of the American dream and arguably the greatest American novel of the 20th century.

Fresh Cut Roses is the perfect summer scent. The fresh, floral tones come through wonderfully and and just love how this candle looks against our white shelving. The large Fresh Cut Roses pillar candle is priced at £19.99 and is sure to last a good few months, even if you’re a little bit candle obsessed like me!

This Coconut and Beachflower Yankee candle is gorgeously presented in a ceramic jar with pink lid. Blush pink and copper are two of my biggest loves so I’m thrilled with how good this one looks!

neom-christmas-candle-shelf-stylingI have my Christmas Neom candle on display alongside some pretty ornaments from Next and Dunelm. Neom is a brand that  am totally in love with and I know that it’s not quite the season for a Christmas scented candle, but this one smells amazing and looks beautiful with its gorgeous gold packaging. You can find many more candles and products from Neom Organics though if you’re looking for something a bit more summery! They are well worth buying in my opinion as the scents are incredibly bold and long lasting.

I bought a couple of these and they will look great in the evenings with some simple plain white pillar candles inside. Cosy! I’ll leave links to some of the retailers mentioned below so that you can go and take a look for yourself and hopefully pick up some bargains.
