Bank Holiday Treats: Devon Hampers Afternoon Tea

Devon Hampers

Bank Holiday’s are definitely the time for relaxing and indulging yourself. If you’re lucky enough not to be working, we hope you’ve managed to get out and about and enjoy the warmer weather. Seeing as the lovely people over at Devon Hampers very kindly sent us one of their Afternoon Tea hampers to review, we thought there was really no better time to review it than on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

Keep reading to hear our thoughts and to take a look at how we served our hamper up using some fun summer dining accessories for a lovely family treat!

Devon Hampers Review

Inside Devon Hamper

As you can see from the pictures we shot of our huge feast, the Devon Hampers Afternoon Tea hamper is packed to the brim with delicious goodies! Everything comes presented in a lovely wicker basket that you can keep to use in the home. We were especially taken with how well made the hamper was and with the overall quality of everything, given the budget friendly £34.75 price tag.

We displayed these along with some seriously cute heart dip trays and heart shaped bowls from Wilko and the prettiest and most inventive mugs we’ve ever seen from Select Japan – the ARITA Heart in Clover Cup & Saucer which actually creates a heart shape as you drink your tea. I can’t even begin to explain how much I love these.

The clotted cream in the hamper comes in chilled packaging to keep it fresh and is wonderfully thick. A real heavenly treat! The mini fruitcake, as you can see above, comes luxuriously decorated and is moist and full of flavour. The scones are quite possibly the best I’ve ever tasted. They were thick and soft. The perfect base for a huge dollop of the strawberry jam included and the clotted cream of course!

The strawberry and cream biscuits definitely tasted as good as they looked and the fudge simply melted in the mouth. You can definitely share this with around 4 people as there is so much included to share out.

Even the Plymouth tea tasted like a luxurious treat! The subtle flavour matched the sweetness of everything else included perfectly. It’s safe to say that we left the table with our bellies completely full. Thanks again to Devon Hampers for this delicious treat.
