Top 10 May 2014 Beauty Favourites

Beauty Favourites

This month there have been so many beauty products that have grabbed my attention for all of the right reasons. I’ve pulled together some of my favourites along with a brief review for each. You can find all of the links and full info for each product below! Feel free to leave us a comment letting us know your favourite products for this month so far!

[ 1 ] Beauty UK ‘Posh Pout’ lip crayons. These are adorable! I am absolutely in love with the colours ‘Big Pinkin” and ‘How Nude!’ and think that they are just as good as, if not better than the Revlon lip crayons out there at the moment and are an absolute steal at a fraction of the price! Get them from www.beautyukcosmetics.com priced at just £2.99 each. Amaaaazing!!

[ 2 ] Sleek Makeup has just come to www.tesco.com/beauty and I’m so thrilled that I can pick up one of my new favourite brands of blushers, concealers and lipsticks etc whilst I do my weekly groceries shop! I am a huge fan of ‘Sleek’ makeup and it would appear that I’m not alone as it is already becoming a cult fave amongst bloggers and beauty lovers all over the UK.  How gorgeous are the blusher palettes?!

[ 3 ] Maybelline ‘Dream Sun’ Bronzing Powder with Blush. Now I have very pale skin, so I need to be really careful how much blusher and bronzer I use. Thankfully, Maybelline have got their latest bronzer/blusher powder absolutely spot on and I’m seriously impressed with the natural, healthy glow it gives my skin. I’ve been using this almost daily since receiving it and it is most definitely a firm May beauty fave!

[ 4 ] Maybelline The Colossal Go Extreme Volume Mascara – Oh.my.gosh. Maybelline are on a roll this season with their products and the Colossal Go Extreme Volume mascara is another product that I’ve been using daily. It makes your lashes look full, long and luscious. Perfect! I love the bright yellow packaging that just screams ‘SUMMER!’ and I can definitely see me picking up another of these very soon.

[ 5 ] If you are looking for a bright, matte lip product this summer then I would highly recommend L’Oreal Paris GlamShine Glam Matte Lipgloss. You can get it for around £7.99 from Boots and other cosmetic stores and it delivers a real shocking, summery pop of colour that goes on just like a regular lip-gloss but dries with a fabulous matte finish.

[ 6 ] Essie nail polishes are becoming one of my best loved brands this summer thanks to their fantastic range of colours. This month I’ve mostly been wearing ‘Truth or Flare’ which is a cool, pastel blue colour with a slightly grey undertone. I also think that some of their warmer shades in orange, coral and pastel pinks would work really well as the weather gets hotter.

[ 7 ] Benefit Hoola Bronzing  Powder is a real summer skin saviour! It gives you a stunning, naturally tanned complexion.  You can get hold of this little gem on www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk or in just about any cosmetic store. I use a small amount of mine on days when I’m looking and feeling a little bit ‘washed out’ and it gives a lovely, evenly bronzed tone to my skin. Great for those pale skinned girls like myself who have no chance of tanning naturally! *sighs*

[ 8 ] Liquorice Lip Balm is a new secret beauty weapon that I’ve discovered! It not only helps reduce cold sore outbreaks and their intensity, but it is also a nourishing balm that helps keep lips well-conditioned. It is reasonably priced and costs £7.95 for 30g. visit www.skinshop.co.uk to buy.

[ 9 ] Impulse ‘Very Pink’ body spray is a fragrance that I’ve been keeping popped in my handbag all month. It smells divine and as the warmer weather makes its way here, it is so handy to have a bottle of this on hand for a quick freshen up on the go! I’m also loving the oriental impulse scent ‘Be Surprised’ which is perfect for summer. Impulse fragrances are available nationwide.

[ 10 ] I know I have already raved about how much I love this fragrance before, but GHOST ‘Eclipse’ is one of my ‘must have’ spring/summer fragrances. It perfectly captures the scent of summer and conjures up images of exotic holidays in decadent destinations. Available from The Perfume Shop, Boots, Debenhams and The Fragrance Shop. I’m completely obsessed with this one!
