Editor’s Picks: This Week I Love…

Despite the weather not being capable of making up its mind lately and preferring to instead offer up a fiercely changeable mix of warm, windy, thundery weather with the occasional cold snap thrown in for good measure, I’ve found a few things this week that have been consistent in their ability to bring me a little joy in one random way or another. Read on to see my top picks for the week!

Knightor Brut NV with fresh raspberries

This was my drink of choice at the weekend and I absolutely adored it! Lovingly crafted from vine to wine by winemaker James Thomas at Knightor, near St Austell Bay, Knightor Brut NV is a delightfully elegant sparkling wine. Knightor Brut NV is elegant, with light floral aromas, peach and apple like fruit, and subtle lees notes.

Set in a venue that has the rustic charm of a historic granite farmstead in the Cornish countryside combined with the finest modern technology, Knightor is the perfect marriage of ‘new wines, old world’. This Cornish hidden gem has also succeeded in successfully combining a winery with a café and restaurant to create a serious destination for both wine aficionados and food lovers.

If you live nearby or within easily travelling distance, pay a visit to the winery. Enjoy the delicious local produce served on-site and try and buy the wines at the cellar door. Alternatively, buy online at www.knightor.com.

Red Leather Gloves from Tie Rack

For when the weather turns colder, I’ve been eying up these bright red gloves from Tie Rack, priced at £19.99 and made from 100% leather. These would look lovely with a striking black coat and a pair of winter boots. Stockist  www.tie-rack.co.uk

Radox Citrus shower gels

The new Radox Citrus shower gels with an interesting herb twist deliver a punchy fragrance to leave you feeling revitalised and refreshed. Bursting with energy, get in the mood for the last of the summer with Revive in Mandarin & Lemongrass, Uplifting in Pink Grapefruit & Basil and Energise in Keyline & Peppermint for the ultimate zesty uplift. I’ve been using these all week and pretending that it’s still summer! Radox New Citrus Range is now available nationwide priced at £2.15 RRP.

Butterfly by Matthew Williamson Autumnal Jewellery

It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with the colours of the new Matthew Williamson autumn collection. I love these earrings that remind me of autumn leaves and crisp cold days. A great way to add a touch of sparkle to your outfit! Available throughout department stores in the UK or at www.jonrichard.com.

20th Century Foxy ‘Victory’ Dress

This red dress is stunning, flattering and a great dress for autumn parties! I love the vintage style and the cold, striking colours. They are also available in a wide range of sizes. Take a look at www.20thcenturyfoxy.com for more info!

Reading Material – Stephen King’s Doctor Sleep

I’ve been waiting for this book for a year! It is the sequel to Stephen King’s ‘The Shining’ and follows Dan Torrence, the little boy from the original book/movie who is now all grown up and dealing with life using his ‘shining’ abilities. Check back for a full review of this one later in the week! Available now. It will without doubt, be a ‘must read’ for all fans of horror and Stephen King’s work.
