Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to experience some Drayton Manor summer holiday fun for the day with my family. We haven’t been for a long time, so the kids were super excited for a day out with lots of fun activities to keep them entertained. After a couple of hours drive from Somerset, we arrived and pulled up to the entrance. Excitement was definitely building when we went to pick up our tickets and heard the hustle and bustle coming from inside the park.
Thomas Land is a firm favourite with our family, there are some brilliant rides and the kids instantly recognise their favourite characters. It wasn’t long before everyone was rushing towards their chosen first rides of the day! There wasn’t too much of a wait time for each ride earlier on in the day at all, so I would advise to get there early if you are wanting to breeze through some of the more popular rides before they get busier. Although not necessary priority passes are also definitely worth looking in to.
There are so many rides for all different ages at Drayton Manor, so everyone from younger children to teens can always find something to do. Even though the weather was a bit gloomy, it didn’t hamper our fun in the slightest, the staff were still friendly and cheerful and the rides operated as usual.
We loved the fact that on some of the rides, the queues were made slightly more interactive for the kids by having things to look at whilst you waited. The favourite ride of the day was Accelerator!
You could easily spend a couple of days at Drayton Manor, so we would definitely look at booking at the Drayton Manor hotel for our next visit as this could make for an even more exciting experience and give everyone a little more time to go back and re-visit the rides that they really loved the first time around.
We all loved the fish and chips for lunch when everyone got hungry, but if you are looking for a sit down meal then there is also a restaurant serving lots of different family friendly food and drink options.
