Our experience of Christmas At Drayton Manor 2017
Walking around the park you can see a plethora of decorations from every angle, which is also accompanied with festive tunes played throughout the park. You won’t be able to help yourself from singing along! The main feature point is the 30 foot tree which is adorned with lights which perform a spectacular light show. Make sure you get a family selfie and don’t forget to use the hashtag #draytonsmagicalchristmas!
Santa is once again residing in the Castle Of Dreams, this is a perfect way to complete your Magical day, each child who visits Santa receives a golden ticket which allows the child to return with a paying adult for free on a selected date throughout the 2018 season. The children who visit Santa also take home a gift, Jack was delighted with his snowflake shaped chocolate lolly and his Drayton Manor Christmas book. He loved meeting Santa and his friendly elves too, the elves help to keep the children engaged whilst they are waiting to visit Santa, they get down to the child’s level. It was beautiful seeing my son and the member of staff chatting, Jack instantly felt at ease.
Want to take a break from the winter weather? Check out this year’s 4D cinema addition to Drayton Manor with ‘Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas.’ The 4D cinema houses 152 seats with water sprays, smoke machines, aromas and much more for your entire family to be transported into the film for the ultimate cinematic experience.
Whilst we were there we stopped off at the Grill Inn, the onsite restaurant which boasts a fabulous menu to suit everyone in your party. All of the members of our party thoroughly enjoyed the food we purchased on our visit, which comprised of a selection of burgers and wraps from the menu. The service was great and waiting times were minimal for such a busy day, so you know you’re not going to miss out on spending valuable time in the park. I would highly recommend this restaurant for your visit!
Also back this year is the ever popular live shows within Thomas Land and the Ice Skating at Slide & Glide. There is also snow showers in Thomas land up to three times a day to finish the festive atmosphere. I also cannot forget the end of day fireworks display to complete your day as you stand around the lake and watch the fireworks reflecting into the water.
