My Travel Beauty Buddies | 11 Amazing Products I’m Taking To Amsterdam

If you’ve been reading this blog for a while now, you might know that over the past few years I’ve become a bit obsessed with travel. I recently wrote my love letter to NYC and am also in the midst of planning a trip to Amsterdam next week for a few days with my husband. I’ve been trying to organise which products I’m loving at the moment that I definitely want to take with me on my travels and thought it might be interesting to pop this into a quick travel beauty themed blog post.

Let me know on Instagram if there’s anything I’m taking with me that you are also loving, or anything you’d recommend. Obviously I’m taking more than this, but these are a few of my current faves that are definitely coming with me to Amsterdam.

ghd pink blush

GHD’s – I’m taking my limited edition Pink Blush GHD’s and matching paddle brush with me on this trip as I know I’ll be having a hair meltdown most days. My hair is incredibly fine and flyaway so I never go anywhere without these. They are so reliable and I love how gorgeous they look. The fact that these come with a handy travel bag just seals the deal when it comes to travel. Link to buy.

Elemis superfood

Elemis Superfood Day Cream – I love how lightweight this daily moisturiser is. It sinks into the skin so easily and feels hydrating and firming. I will typically pop this on most mornings and love how it creates the perfect base to apply makeup onto. Link to buy.

flowerbomb nectar

Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Nectar – Now this is one of my favourite springtime scents. I find it so instantly uplifting and if you are already a fan of Viktor & Rolf fragrances, you’ll love this new edition. I can’t wait to wear this on my travels as it’s a sure-fire way to keep me feeling confident and upbeat when I’m wearing such a beautiful scent. Link to buy.

The Body Shop Skin Defence Multi Protection Essence

The Body Shop Skin Defence SPF 50 – This is a product that I will probably continue to use for as long as The Body Shop continue to make it! It’s my current go-to travel beauty product when it comes to facial SPF and I’ve used it on so many travel adventures and it’s never let me down yet! This is coming from someone who is very fair skinned. A great little beauty buy that will keep your skin protected from the sun. Link to buy.

nivea

Nivea MicellAIR Makeup Remover – This was a relatively new discovery for me and I’m actually obsessed now! The amazing new MicellAIR products are currently being used backstage by the make-up artists at ITV’s The Voice UK as NIVEA is the official backstage care partner for the show. I have been using this to remove my makeup on short trips recently where I haven’t had access to my full cleansing routine and it is refreshing, light and completely cleansing for your skin. Link to buy.

Burt’s Bees Glossy Lipsticks – The Burt’s Bees Glossy Lipsticks are my new favourite thing to wear during the spring months. They are so hydrating on the lips and deliver a sheer wash of colour that really lasts. My favourite shade is definitely the gorgeous Peony Dew.

As you can see from the swatches, the Burt’s Bees glossy lipsticks are sheer, but highly pigmented. The perfect travel companion for when you want something lightweight and hydrating on your lips to give you that ‘your lips but better’ effect. Link to buy.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation – This foundation has quickly become of of my all time favourites. With a luxurious feel and beautiful coverage, it’s hard not to keep reaching for this foundation every day. Whilst the coverage isn’t as full-on as something like ‘double wear’ for example, this sits perfectly and flawlessly on the skin and is easily buildable to achieve the level of coverage you require from day to day. I find it really lets my skin breathe and never looks cakey. Link to buy.

illamasqua

Illamasqua Skin Base Concealer Pen – Illamasqua is taking it Back to Base with their brand new launch, the Skin Base Concealer Pen. Famous for their bold looks and dramatic pigments, this new range of 7 concealer shades is the final step to achieving your perfect canvas. The Skin Base Concealer Pen is perfect for everyday wear and popping into your handbag to use on the go.

Illamasqua

The cooling, antibacterial zamac tip makes it refreshing and kind to the skin whilst concealing and de-puffing the under eye area. A little of this product goes a long way and it blends beautifully for a creaseless finish that lasts all day. The Illamasqua Skin Base Concealer Pen retails for £22 at www.illamasqua.com

benefit contour

Benefit Hoola Quickie Contour Stick – Now I am absolutely terrible when it comes to trying to achieve the perfect contour, so this product is perfect for me and anyone else who struggles! The Benefit Hoola Quickie Contour stick is so simple and quick to use that you just can’t go wrong. It’s travel and handbag friendly, blends in seconds and creates a healthy, warm glow. What’s not to love?! Link to buy.

urban decay all nighter

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray – I used to so rarely bother using products like this, but since discovering the Urban Decay all nighter makeup setting spray I’ll never be without it again! This is a total travel must have. The formula is so fine and lightweight on the skin. Just a couple of quick sprays release a super-fine mist of spray that keeps your makeup in place, no matter how much jetting around you are doing! Link to buy.

Nivea Urban Skin

Nivea 1 Minute Urban Detox Mask – last but not least is another hot new product from Nivea that I’m absolutely obsessed with this month! This 1 minute mask is perfect to use on your travels (or just as part of your at-home skincare routine) and it couldn’t be quicker or easier to use. Simply massage the product onto your face, leave for 1 minute and wash off. Great for in the shower! I love that this gently exfoliates and has all of the goodness of a face-mask in one handy little product! Link to buy.

I’d say take toilet roll. When we used to go there all the time 15 years ago, all the toilets just had that tracing paper type toilet roll. Ugh.
Hope you have the best time 🙂
