Keen to experience the upcoming developments for ourselves, we headed off on a little dog-friendly staycation for the weekend for a relaxing stay in one of the gorgeous lodges located on the Golden Sands UNITY site.
Golden Sands is perfect for those wanting to experience everything that Unity Beach in Somerset offers but in a slightly more quiet and secluded location just minutes from all of the main attractions.

We loved waking up every morning to the smell of the fresh sea air and taking a stroll on the secluded and dog-friendly Brean Beach. Every day, we would take a short walk down the road and decide which of the UNITY activities we wanted to enjoy. This short, level walk is filled with arcades, amusements, and a Morrisons, where you can pick up groceries and all of your essentials.
At UNITY Beach in Brean Sands, Somerset, visitors can look forward to the ultimate all-in-one holiday experience. From the adrenaline-fueled thrills of Brean Theme Park and splashing around at the water park to exploring the state-of-the-art soft play centre, every moment at UNITY Beach is packed with excitement.
This family-friendly environment is just starting to gear up for a busy summer season, and it was exciting to see everyone enjoying their Easter holiday experience.
There is currently a fantastic Pop up Pavilion located on Brean Theme Park, where live entertainment can be enjoyed as you take your pick from a mouth-watering selection of street food vendors. We had to sample the Churros first, and they were a 10/10.
The vibe here slowly builds from relaxed and fun-filled lunchtimes through to the excitement of evening entertainment. Hang out on picnic benches as you pick and choose from various food and drink stalls at your leisure.
You can walk through the entire area with your dog, and there are plenty of places for you and your pup to take a quiet breather in the shade if needed. There’s even a little doggy play area!
The UNITY Beach park itself is also extremely dog-friendly. It was an absolute joy to see just how much thought has gone into catering to those with furry friends in tow. Water stations are provided all around the site, and bins are easily accessible for responsible dog owners to pick up after their pets. We saw no signs of dog mess or litter and were incredibly impressed with how clean and tidy everything is kept, both by staff and visitors.
There are dedicated dog walking areas for those wanting to take their pets on a longer walk. Located nearby to a peaceful fishing lake, you can take your pet on a countryside wander directly from the UNITY Beach site itself. There are outdoor seating areas and dog-friendly places to eat and drink at every turn, meaning that no one gets left out.
