Exciting Home Office Décor Picks

Home Office Decor

I don’t know about you, but I find that working from home can often be both a blessing and a curse! It is fantastic to keep your own hours, spend more time with the family and effectively be your own boss, but there are times when it can be hard to keep motivated and not wind up procrastinating! Trust me,  I am the self-confessed queen of procrastination – I speak from experience.

One thing that I have found helps me to stay focused and to stay on track with my schedules, is to keep my home office organised, bright and stylish. With this in mind, throughout the coming months I’ll be highlighting some of my favourite home office décor products that help make my office a place I really want to spend time working in.

Pictured are two of my absolute favourite items from Oliver Bonas – a store that I just can’t resist shopping in. I’m serious, taking me in to one of their stores is dangerous! I may not return for hours…

I love the Miss Etoile Cute Eyes Cup (£12.50) which makes for a really cute alternative to a pen pot or stationary holder. It’s just far too pretty to actually drink out of  – although you absolutely can if you want to! This adds a cute, quirky touch to my home office décor and I love how it looks on my desk. Perfect for spring interiors and oh so beautiful!

I’m also seriously debating buying one of the stylish and functional Donald Wood Chests – Made in India from Mango wood, with a sleek, modern finish and six drawers with a mix and match selection of handles and some painted, for an individual and eclectic look. I might need to start saving those pennies up as it is priced at £495. Another great addition to your home office, bedroom or living room.

I’m a huge fan of Typography Prints. My walls are adorned with various prints but these are two of my absolute favourites. I love Seb Lester and was delighted to get hold of one of his new limited edition ‘Stars’ prints. It looks gorgeous and really adds a stylish twist to an otherwise dull and dreary white wall. This particular print is sold out but take a look at Seb’s website for more info and prints that are currently available to purchase: www.seblester.co.uk

I love using yellow in spring and summer home décor and interior design right now. Bright, vibrant and bold colours are great for keeping you focused and motivated in your office space! This amazing ‘Don’t be shit’ print from Lovely JoJo’s is fun and stylish. I have this next to my other typography prints and it adds a playful twist. Perfect for summer!

hallway-rug rug-for-hallway

My office is right next to the hallway and I recently decided to cover up some rather ugly looking tiles with a hallway rug. I chose a beautiful black design from Unnatural Flooring. This is brilliant, because not only does it mean that as I sit here typing, I can gaze out at a beautiful, luxurious rug, but also due to the fact that these rugs are super-practical! They are waterproof, can be wiped clean and are extremely hardwearing and durable.

Unnatural Flooring rugs come in around 20 different colurways and binding options so you can easily have something custom designed to suit your needs. Perfect for those looking for rugs that work well in any area of the home. Find out more here: www.unnaturalflooring.com
