LES VINS ROUGES

Château de Bouchassy (14.5% ABV) – £9.00 – This Château lies in the Lirac AOC, one of the only two Southern Rhône crus on the West Bank, across the river from Châteauneuf du Pape. Made from Syrah and Grenache, this is full-bodied with mellow tones of spice and tobacco. Try it with traditional hearty meat dishes like confit de canard or sausages.

Domaine de la Ganse (14.5% ABV) – £12.00 – Hailing from the Rhône Valley in Vacqueyras, on an estate with vines up to 55 years old, this wine is full of blackberry flavours that are expected from a classic Rhône red. Pair with classic pub dishes for a traditional match.

Château Le Plantey (14% ABV) – £12.00- A classic Right-Bank Bordeaux from the Côtes de Castillon, made predominantly from Merlot, this is a lovely full-bodied wine with great balance of fruit and acidity. Perfect to impress on a date-night with steak or to take to a dinner party!

LES VINS BLANCS

Domaine Des Bouts (13% ABV) £9.00 – Coming from one of the first villages allowed to label its wine ‘Côtes du Rhône Villages’, this wine is steeped in wine-making history. It is simply bursting with flavours of green fruit and citrus. Crisp and refreshing, this wine is crying out to be paired with classic fish dishes.

Domaines et Chateaux wines are available from Tesco in 75cl bottles. The selection will change every few months as wines sell out, enabling curious and adventurous wine lovers to enjoy a variety of wines from small estates from all over France.

Our favourite so far is the Château de Bouchassy – a full-bodied, warming red wine that is perfect when paired with your Sunday roast! The whole concept of the Domaines et Chateaux wines and being able to try delicious new tipples, easily from your local supermarket is wonderful and should be a huge hit with wine lovers everywhere!

Domaines et Châteaux wines are available at Tesco.
