Your Ultimate Wedding Planning Checklist

luxury save the date cards

Wedding planning can be a massive task, so here are our top tips to start with first! Let’s start with stationery my personal favourite, it plays a considerable part in the wedding from invites to guest books there’s always chance to include elegant stationery.

Wedding Stationery

Invites and save the date cards are the first item which sets the scene to your big day! If you want to make a lasting impression you don’t want to skimp in this area. These could potentially become long lasting memories for guests to keep so I would personally ensure they’re printed on good quality card/paper so they last over the years. There are some beautiful designs over on etsy, for summer my personal favourites are the chalkboard and floral designs. This navy and floral invite set contains everything you need; invite, RSVP and envelopes. It’s stylish and modern and the perfect addition to your wedding stationery.

wedding invites

If florals are not your thing, check out these kitsch wedding invites which are designed as tickets. These would definitely make memorable keepsakes for your guests and are a real wedding planning essential.

Wedding planning – Seating Your Guests

Next we move on to place cards for your tables and seating plans. If you on a budget and still want gorgeous place cards and you know someone who’s fabulous at typography, check out Hobbycraft as they sell DIY place card sets. These create a fabulous way to add a personal touch to your day.

Guest Books

Guest books! The ultimate way to keep memories from your guests! Why not choose something out of the ordinary and have one of these gorgeous cloud frames from John Lewis, a steal at just £18!

The Dress!

The high street and online retailers are really stepping up their game when it comes to bridal dresses and wedding planning. From ASOS to Topshop each store is aiming to make glamorous dresses available for every budget. One of my personal favourites is the Chi Chi London Premium Metallic Lace Midi prom dress which would look incredible as a vintage boho theme wedding dress. Don’t forget to check out Your Go-To Colour Palettes for 2018 too!

Bridal Party

Next to tick off the list is outfits for the bridal party! Purchasing bridesmaid dresses from online retailers has many advantages such as being able to purchase a wider range of sizes, colours and designs. Therefore you are more likely to find something that suits your budget and theme. Debenhams have a phenomenal up to 70% off sale with prices starting at just £39!

Bridal Shoes

Bridal shoes are really hitting it off on the high street! Even 6 years ago when I got married it was the high street which triumphed with bridal shoes. If you want something to wow, have a look at these beautiful Faith Silver ‘Cassie’ ombré glitter high court shoes at Debenhams for £45.

wedding suits

For the Men

Now your bridal party are sorted your next step is to suit and boot the groom, groomsmen and page boys! Moss Bros have a fantastic suit range for weddings and they’re also available at incredible prices for designer suits! You can check out their amazing range here: www.moss.co.uk and don’t forget to take a peek at the sale.

Hen and Stag Party

Having a hen or stag party and in need of some original fancy dress ideas, Amazon have a huge range to suit the reserved parties to the outlandish mega stag do! From ballerinas to an ex-rated willyman costume, there is something to embarrass every groom! Need some inspiration for your hen party? ASOS have a great book packed with ideas for your big night and again there’s something to suit every price range!

honeymoon

The Honeymoon!

Finally! The honeymoon! Whether it’s short haul or long haul or hot climates or cold. Expedia has a huge range of honeymoons on offer! From Goa to Paris and everywhere in between they help you tailor make your most romantic holiday yet! If it was my choice I would be jetsetting to Bali! White sands and crystal clear waters the perfect way to relax or explore the sea life with a snorkelling or diving trip.

Most Bali holidays are all inclusive which include a breathtaking range of local and foreign cuisine there will be plenty of culinary delights to try during your stay. To further your relaxation as a new couple there are also many spa treatments available in most of the complexes! I couldn’t think of a better way to start married life together! http://www.expedia.co.uk
