Cordless vacuums have really come a long way, from the original dust busters. They are a very real and convenient option to having a full corded vacuum in your home. I recently got to play around with the Vax Cordless Slim Vac Total Home TBTTV1T1.
First impressions are great, the VAX Cordless Total Home TBTTV1T1 is packaged well and comes with a decent instruction manual. Clipping the various parts together is simple and intuitive. A warning though – as a new machine out of the box it will need an 8 hour charge to ensure that the battery is run in. A standard charge is 5 hours. You can use this time to wall mount the holder, however space is at a premium for us, so we charged it on a countertop.
When finally charged the VAX Cordless Total Home TBTTV1T1 is a pleasure to use, changing out the various attachments is simple and easy. Our home is a mix of mats, carpets and hardwood, so a real run through for a standard vac. The VAX Cordless Total Home TBTTV1T1 did everything with ease. Using the powered head for carpets, hard floor tool for the floor and other attachments for sofas, curtains and stairs.
The battery lasted more than enough time to thoroughly clean a 2 bed house approx 20-25 mins. I would love a way to charge an additional battery, like a base unit so if you do deplete the battery, you could clip another one into the unit and keep going. One of the main joys of the VAX Cordless Total Home TBTTV1T1 so far for us is that it is so light (about 2kg). Getting it from the storage cupboard upstairs to give the room a quick blitz is a simple affair. A big improvement on lugging our old corded Dyson around the house which weighed a ton.
So far we have had the VAX Cordless Total Home TBTTV1T1 for around a week, and have not found it wanting. I have even used it to give the car interior a clean and it looks better than it has in years. If you are after a small, light and convenient option to your standard corded upright or cylinder cleaner you cannot go far wrong with the VAX Cordless Total Home TBTTV1T1. We were so impressed with it that our old Dyson has now been condemned to the recycling centre.
