Winter 2017 is reliving many popular fashion trends from the come back of corduroy to work wear glam there is guaranteed to be a look which resonates with past memories of fashion favourites over the decades. Here’s my guide for all budgets, for this seasons must have winter fashion trends!

Winter Fashion Trends – Red Hot

The colour of the winter season is predominately reds, whether you go for the full outfit in bold reds or accessorise your outfit with striking red footwear and a matching bag. Taking over from the classic LBD (Little Black Dress) is this seasons must have in the form of a LRD. Here’s a couple of my favourite red designs to add to your winter wardrobe.

red coat

SPLURGE – Karen Millen Classic Trench Coat £199 This is a timeless statement piece which is worth the investment. Available in sizes 8 – 16, this is a versatile coat which would look phenomenal buttoned up and teamed up with a pair of black jeans and boots or left open with a crisp white shirt and trousers on the way to and from the office. Get it from

SAVE – George @ Asda Oversized Double Breasted Coat £30 – George are once again up to date with all the latest catwalk looks and have really excelled with this latest piece. This double breasted coat would be look great dressed up or down depending on the occasion and it can also be altered by wearing open or closed to alternate the look. Get it online here.

Winter Fashion Trends – Corduroy

For many this is a love or hate material and a key collection which was seen throughout the 70s. The use of corduroy creates texture and colour to almost any outfit. For AW17 you can expect corduroy in rich colours from mustards, autumnal oranges and deeper hues of blue across the high street. This is due to corduroy’s prevalence on many big labelled brand’s AW17 catwalks.

corduroy trousers

SPLURGE – G Star High Waisted Wide Leg Chunky Cord Trousers £115 – I wasn’t a fan of this AW17 trend until I saw these! This is what I would call an introduction to corduroy. They’re a more subtle colour so they would be perfect for someone to be able to try the design for the first time. These teamed up with a plain white top and a simple pair of strap heals would create an instant fashionista look with minimal effort required. Find them from ASOS here.

cord trousers

SAVE – M&S Cotton Rich Corduroy Slim Leg Trousers £19.50 – In comparison to the G Star Trousers these will appeal to more people due to their slim fit, again these will instantly transform any outfit from drab to fab! I love that they have teamed these with a closed checked shirt and black flat heeled boots, this would be my ideal outfit for a day out in town! Are you feeling brave enough to experiment with coloured cord? Why not check out the camel version of these trousers! Find them online here.

Winter Fashion Trends – Bold Knits

Knits are always popular in AW trends due to the drops of temperature you need to update your wardrobe for both style and warmth. Bold patterns are leading the way this season with embroidery and bright Floral prints proving to be popular amongst brands such as Marc Jacobs and Prada.

floral jumper

SPLURGE – River Island Floral Jumper £55 – This River Island jumper would brighten up any winter wardrobe with its colourful floral design. With its array of colour you’ll be spoilt for choice with the arrange of accessories you could team. Find it online here.
