UK YouTubers come together for a “Peculiar” Photoshoot – To celebrate this week’s Digital HD release of Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, popular Instagrammer Linda Blacker – who specialises in portrait and fine art photography – brought this fantastical world of mystery, power and peculiarity to life in a very special photo-shoot. Designing a set inspired by Miss Peregrine’s garden, Linda cast a series of well-known UK YouTubers to capture the “peculiarity” of each of Tim Burton’s characters.
Carrie Hope Fletcher is Emma Bloom – who has the ability to manipulate air
Pete Bucknall is Jake – who has the power to sense and see the evil hollows
Hazel Hayes is Miss Peregrine – her peculiarity is being an ymbryne, meaning she can manipulate time and take the form of a bird.
Adam Waithe is Barron – the villain who hunts the Peculiars and Miss Peregrine
Doug Armstrong is Enoch – his peculiarity allows him to temporarily give life to inanimate objects, a skill he employs during an epic showdown with dark forces.
Lucy Moon is Olive – a free spirit with fire at her fingertips. She must wear long black gloves at all times because she ignites everything she touches.
Niki & Sammy are The Twins – the most enigmatic of the Peculiars. They wear masks that obscure their faces, and are speechless; they have a hidden peculiarity that only comes to light in the most dangerous situations.
