The Coveted: 6 Beauty Products I’m Loving Right Now

So far this month, I’ve noticed that I seem to be repeatedly reaching for a few key beauty products again. Does anyone else have weeks where they just love using a product so much that all other items are forgotten about?

Roller Lash  Mascara by Benefit is the only mascara to tempt me away from my old faithful ‘Tarte, lights camera lashes’. Benefit roller lash is  way up there with this product and has fast become one of my new favourite mascaras! The eye-opening Hook ‘n’ Roll™ mascara brush grabs, separates, lifts and curls, while the instant curve-setting formula holds for 12 hours. The formula is water resistant, easy to remove, and contains Provitamin B5 and Serin, ingredients known for their lash-conditioning benefits. The brush is curved for easy application and I find that I only need one or two coats to create full and voluminous lashes. You can get it for £19.50 from www.benefit.com.

Both myself and my daughter have dry skin. It can often play up in the colder months. We have both been using this Dry Eye Concealer for a while now. It delivers the anti-inflammatory anti-itching benefits of cardiospermum extract without damaging or irritating the delicate skin around the eye. It also brings a skin brightening camouflage to mask signs of dryness, redness and irritation. Dry Eye Concealer comes in a natural skin tint with light reflecting particles to help brighten and conceal dry, red skin around the eyes while also treating it at the same time.

I love the fact that this product is free from parabens, MI, SLS and perfumes. Dry Eye Concealer costs £11.95 (4.5ml). Available from www.skinshop.co.uk.

I have become slightly obsessed with anything Orange scented. I have a real thing for citrus fragrances at the moment and I love using The Body Shop Satsuma shower gel. I find that it works really well as part of my morning routine to help motivate me and invigorate my senses. The larger sized bottles last for weeks and you can really smell the zesty essential oils that are used in this product. I can’t see anything replacing this any time soon! www.thebodyshop.co.uk.

The Real Techniques Bold Metal collection is (in my humble opinion) one of the most beautiful and functional set of brushes to hit the beauty scene in a long time. These brushes fully embrace the current trend for all things metallic, copper and rose gold. They also do a beautiful job of applying your makeup. I love it when such beautiful products don’t lack on the quality front. The Real Techniques Bold Metal collection brushes are weighty and shed-resistant, making them perfect for everyday use. The fact that they look stunning on my vanity makes them even more appealing! Available from boots.

Lastly, I have rekindled my love affair with Burberry beauty products lately.

I have been using the Burberry Fresh Glow Foundation every day and find it to be the perfect match for my skin. Spring weather can take its toll and I’ve found that using a good quality foundation that offers a dewy glow can really combat this. I love the effect that this foundation gives to my skin. It looks almost instantly perked up. Fragrance wise, I’ve been reaching for another Burberry product. The My Burberry fragrance has been in pride of place on my vanity for a while now. The gloriously decadent packaging and the long lasting delicately floral fragrance is a real must have as the warmer weather finally comes our way. I can’t wait to try some of Burberry’s newer offerings and look forward to letting you know my thoughts on these in some of our later issues. www.uk.burberry.com.
