2017 Movies

2017 Movies feature the next instalments in series such as Underworld, Fifty Shades, Transformers, Saw, Resident Evil as well as new releases; Beauty and The Beast, The Boss Baby and Dunkirk. There is bound to be a film to excite and delight everyone!

The 2017 Movies We’re Getting Excited For

My top picks for family films in 2017 are The LEGO Batman Movie, The Boss Baby, Beauty and The Beast, Smurfs The Lost Village, Despicable Me 3 and Monster Trucks. 2017 is delivering movie lovers with a plethora of remakes and new releases to suit families of all ages. Disney are busy making our classic animated films into live action movies and this year it does not disappoint with its live portrayal of Beauty and The Beast featuring Emma Watson as Belle.

If you are looking for a bit of nostalgia then 2017 is gifting us with the remake of Jumanji, I anticipate this being a fantastic way to relive your childhood with your children. Jumanji is not the only film to be remade in 2017, we are also being gifted with the Stephen King’s Classic IT which has been modernised to suit the latest movie viewers and Baywatch too is making a comeback for the first time as a cinematic experience.

For lovers of comedy 2017 is not going to disappoint. The excellent Bad Moms is back with its second instalment in December which is titled, Bad Moms Christmas featuring the original cast, it looks at the Moms struggle with the annual festivities. One of my personal favourites also makes a return this year with the Kingsman: The Golden Circle, a brilliant witty and action packed film featuring a stunning variety of our British actors and actresses. Pitch Perfect is delivering its 3rd film in the series! We can expect more laughs, more sing a long moments and a feel good film to finish the year on a high (no pun intended!)

If horror and paranormal genres are more your thing you will be delighted to know that Saw: Legacy is back with its 8th part which will guarantee enough gore and action to see you through the entire year! Other favourites such as Annabelle are making a comeback in August. Rings is also launching in February, this follows on from the 2002 film The Ring, in this follow-on it shows the dark urban legend take a more sinister turn as it reveals the original video had a hidden video within it which can only mean one thing, 7 days turns into a bigger event.

Finally we have the release of Star Wars: Episode VIII this will be somewhat bittersweet for viewers of the franchise due to the sad passing of Carrie Fisher in 2016 and this will be her last feature in the series. Not much has been released at this point about how the story will develop but you can be assured it will be another gripping addition to the collection.

So for lovers of movies you will be having a busy viewing schedule for the whole of 2017 with major comebacks and new blockbusters emerging. Sit back, relax and enjoy the fab upcoming 2017 Movies!
