Outdoor seating

One of the first things we needed to find was some cheap and cheerful garden furniture. We didn’t want to spend a fortune on this as down the line we’ll be upgrading to some lovely rattan sofas and coffee tables. Our best option for now seemed to be finding some stylish but affordable plastic garden furniture. This set was from Argos. We bought two of the Baltimore 2 Seater Resin Bistro Set for £45 each. They fit our space perfectly and mean that we can now pop outside and snuggle up with a coffee in comfort. Accessorised with these gorgeous Dunelm cushions makes the whole look come together.

Painting Woodwork

One of the first things we did in the garden is to paint all of the wordwork, fencing and the annex with a modern Grey toned paint from Cuprinol. This meant that everything matched and although we worried that the colour would be a little dark, it created an opportunity to make a statement with some brighter summery accessories!

Bright accessories

I have been creating Pinterest boards for our home and garden and one of the things I was keen to do, was ensure that we found some soft and cosy outdoor garden accessories. Cushions and blankets are perfect for adding a relaxing atmosphere to your outside area. My husband had seen me swooning over this gorgeous rainbow blanket in the shop one of our National Trust visits so he picked it up as a surprise for me! I will definitely be wrapping up in this one chilly evenings or using it as a picnic blanket!

These beautiful Dunelm outdoor cushions were a fantastic way to brighten up our plain outdoor furniture. I love the tropical themed colours and pattern and the quality is sturdy enough that you’ll be fully supported and get plenty of use out of these all year long.

Cosy vibes

Add some mood lighting by using solar lights to display around the garden. I love the idea of hanging some solar lights in trees and bushes but if your garden is a smaller patio garden then string lights along fences is a great way to give the garden a warm and cosy feel! These are priced at just £19.90 for a pack of six and add a modern vibe to your garden decor! Find them here: www.redcandy.co.uk

BBQ’s and Fire Pits

Entertaining outdoors is so much fun and even if you have a smaller patio sized garden you can still find some space saving products that will fit the bill. This amazing fire-pit from Dunelm also doubles up as a table when it’s not in use. Perfect for when you have guests round.

You simply pop the lid back over the top and put the metal rack on the bottom. Such a brilliant space saving way to make the most out of the space in your garden. I love how stylish this is too! Dunelm has a fantastic range of outdoor accessories at the moment for those looking to make the most of the days when we do get some sun!

rug

Add colour and texture to your outdoor spaces with bold and bright rugs like this gorgeous round rug. I love how it instantly transforms any space thanks to the stylish selections of bright and vibrant colours woven together. Find these and more at Dunelm.com or at your local Dunelm store.
