What are Popsockets?
Popsockets are a handy accessory for your mobile. They simply fasten to the back of your phone and function as a stand, a grip to hold when you want to take a picture, a handy place to wrap your headphones and much more.
They can be positioned onto the back of your phone or your phone case and are easy to remove and re-position as needed. If like me, you’ve previously wondered if they really make a difference to how you use your phone, and whether they are more meant for trendy teens or adults then keep reading as we’ve cleared up all of the common misconceptions below.
My teenage daughter absolutely loves her Popsockets. Not only do they make taking selfies easier, but they are actually an amazing way to ensure that your kids don’t drop and demolish their phones every five minutes whilst doing so! Simply pop the Popsocket out and slide your fingers underneath the round disc.
She also finds hers useful when she’s walking to school as it’s super easy to wrap your headphone wires around the back and to hold the phone whilst listening to music. Having a Popsocket on your phone also makes it a lot harder for someone to try and snatch the device from your hand as you’ve secured your grip safely. They’re seriously lightweight and won’t damage your mobile either.
I firmly believe that Popsockets aren’t just for kids and teens though. Since taking the time to use one on my phone I’ve found that they are actually so much handier than I ever gave them credit for! I find myself using mine to prop my phone up when I’m watching a YouTube video or answering a lot of emails.
It’s also great for when I want to take pictures. I’m not exactly a selfie queen – but I do use my phone to take a lot of images on family trips when we’re out and about as well as product shots for work.
Let me know via the comments below or on Twitter whether you’ve got a Popsocket on your phone and how you’ve found using it. I’d love to hear your thoughts! I’m obsessed with this marble effect popsocket as it goes so nicely with my rose gold iPhone but there are so many to choose from!
