This autumn, Mariage Frères – one of the world’s most exclusive purveyors of luxury tea – is bringing its renowned French Tea Club to Covent Garden. On offer is a carefully curated programme of events that includes food and tea pairings, tastings and masterclasses as well as an introduction into the colourful history of tea, drawing on the brand’s 160-year heritage.
Hosted in the brand’s King Street flagship store in a safe, socially distanced format with a maximum of six guests at any one time, the French Tea Club commences on Saturday 24th October. Classes range from tastings of iconic blends such as the Marco Polo® to Grand Cru (single estate) masterclasses; all while enjoying tea-infused patisseries.
Come Halloween, Mariage Frères will be turning to the dark side with a spooky selection of blends. On 31st October, sip on a cup of Midnight Magic® with playful candy notes to take you back to your trick-or-treating days, as well as trying the frightening Full Moon Party® tea.
Still thirsty for more? All Tea Club attendees will receive 10% off any purchase in-store plus 30% off food when dining in Mariage Frères’ stunning Salon de Thé. Tea Club sessions last between 1.5 – 2.5 hours and are held on Saturdays from 11am. Each masterclass cost £30 per person and includes a selection of patisseries.
