2K UK celebrated the launch of open-world action-adventure crime game Mafia III today by teaming up with Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels icon Vinnie Jones at TimberYard coffee shop, serving up a taste of the 1960’s with their gunpowder infused coffee. In celebration of the 1968 setting of Mafia III, early risers were pleased to receive their Americano from temporary barista Vinnie Jones, at the affordable 1960’s price of 10p per coffee.
What’s more, renowned food architects and inventors, Bompas and Parr’s specially created Mafia III-inspired gunpowder ingredient to give those in need of an extra pick me up that mighty mobster-style punch to their coffee! Served in empty bullet cartridges, the gunpowder ingredient is said to enhance the effect of the caffeine in your coffee.
Toxicologist Nick Edwards BSc (Hons) MCLIP FEAPCCT says:
“Eating gunpowder is not to be advised but in the formula for our ‘liquid gunpowder’, it will enhance the effect of caffeine in their coffee. The ingredients will gently amplify the flavour of the coffee, while the tingling feel of the liquid on the tongue will have a psychosomatic cross-modal effect – that frisson of danger will raise the pulse.”
