Glenapp Castle Reopens and Welcomes its First Guests

Glenapp Castle

Like many other venues around the world, Glenapp Castle is safely reopening. Glenapp Castle, a 17-bedroom luxury five-star hotel in Ayrshire, is now welcoming its first guests.

Glenapp Castle is delighted that they are currently trading up to 63% occupancy peaking at weekends. Managing Director, Jill Chalmers, has said

‘’we are so excited for the reopening today and are particularly thrilled with the levels of business we have on the books. We have continued to see a lot of very last minute bookings coming in. Indeed, today we have taken 3 more room bookings for tomorrow night, we didn’t see this very last minute booking pattern coming to Glenapp pre lockdown,  so long may that continue!’’

The team has been busy preparing, not only to have a successful reopening, but to ensure their guests have a safe visit and feel completely comfortable and relaxed throughout their stay.

The hotel’s 110 acres of picturesque gardens and woodland is perfect for long walks with plenty of space to maintain physical social distancing. The hotel is also fortunate to have several different rooms for dining which will allow for the necessary spacing.

The castle has also created a ‘Stay Safe’ policy. A few of the measures involved in this carefully thought out policy include hygiene packs being available in all bedrooms (sanitiser, masks, temperature strips, sanitising wipes), and hygiene stations being placed throughout the hotel. Staff will have their temperature taken upon arrival on every shift and the restaurant will not be taking non-residential bookings over the summer period. They have also brought in the important electrostatic spraying machine which disinfects all surfaces and spaces and ensures any contagions are removed from the air.

In addition, Glenapp Castle has passed the new UK-wide industry standard developed by the four National Tourist Boards of the UK (Tourism Northern Ireland, VisitEngland, VisitWales and VisitScotland) and are now approved with the  ‘We’re Good To Go’ Accreditation.

A Relais & Chateaux hotel, Glenapp Castle is renowned for offering an abundance of 65+ indoor and outdoor activities. From perfume making, wilderness living, clay pigeon shooting, stargazing, foraging, bee keeping, tank driving, mountain biking and even interactive falconry displays. Its unique Hebridean Sea Safari experience also offers guests a four night adventure aboard the Glenapp Castle boat, exploring the Scottish isles in true style and glamping beneath the stars.

Glenapp Castle is expecting an exciting few months ahead as they are set to launch The Endeavour, its brand-new, self-contained penthouse apartment in September 2020. Through the conversion of the castle’s entire top floor, The Endeavour is able to be offered on an exclusive and private basis with a full butler service and private chef. 4,500 sq ft of luxurious accommodation, The Endeavour commands the most beautiful views in the whole of Scotland with views of Ailsa Craig, the Isle of Arran, the Mull of Kintyre and on a particularly clear day, Ireland – It is sure to set a new standard when it comes to luxury.

HOW: Guests can stay in one of Glenapp Castle’s Garden View Suites from £234 per room per night with the hotel’s 7 nights for the price of 5 offer
