Popular French Restaurant Galvin La Chapelle has introduced a 7-course Menu Gourmand especially designed for vegetarians and vegans. Jeff and Chris Galvin have noted the importance to cater for diners needs, whether that is dietary requirements or lifestyle choices.
“In the past we’ve seen a few dishes on menus that cater for vegetarians or vegans, but nothing quite like an entire tasting menu designed specifically around these requirements,” says Chef Patron Jeff Galvin.
“At La Chapelle we are determined to make the dining experience spectacular for all customers, and with a growing number of guests requesting both vegetarian and vegan options we decided to create something special that is both aesthetically appealing as well as delicious.”
The 7 course vegetarian and vegan menu offer the very same top-drawer French cuisine that the Michelin-star brothers Chris & Jeff Galvin have become known for.
Menu highlights include textures of heritage beetroot and raspberry, radish and gingerbread and hazelnuts, tagine of spring vegetables, couscous, confit lemon and harissa sauce, and apple tarte Tatin and Normandy crème fraîche.
Both menus are available for £55 per person, with the option to pair each dish with hand-selected Sommelier wines for £120 per person.
The Michelin-star duo have also increased efforts to go greener in their restaurants, with most Galvin restaurants now offering biodegradable straws instead of plastic, and local product is used wherever possible. Galvin HOP have also introduced wine on tap, which significantly reduces glass bottle usage, and both venues are using mineral water from a tank, which allows the restaurants to reuse all bottles.
Galvin La Chapelle was recently named as one of the Top 10 French Restaurants in London by Bookatable diners, and was also included in the Top 50 Restaurants in London.
