Flavourly: Letterbox Gin Review

Well what a week it has been filled with stress mainly from an impending University assignment, so I was delighted when I received a stunning letterbox gift from Flavourly which contained 2 x 50ml bags of Honey and Raspberry liqueur and a personalized tasting card reading “You’re The Gin To My Tonic”. What an instant pick me up!

This letterbox tasting pack retails at £9.99 and arrives in a small box so you don’t have to worry about someone being in to receive it as the postman can simply post it through the door.

The box comes with a tasting card which gives information on the product and where it was distilled. This particular liqueur has an alcohol content of 20% and it is created and distilled in the small Strathearn Distillery in Perthshire. The tasting card then goes on to give the individual two serving ideas such as neat on the rocks or to team it up with Prosecco and fresh raspberries for a luxurious looking pink cocktail. Flavourly also gives you the option to add a personalised message if you are gifting the box to a friend or loved one. I love this particular personalisation feature and I think it helps to set the brand out from the rest. The bags the liqueur come packaged in are quite quirky and I can honestly say that I have never seen a bag of pink liqueur before! Personally, I find this makes a refreshing change from receiving a much more traditional packaging such as a miniature bottle.

The liqueur itself is delicious, the honey adds a cut of warmth throughout the sweetness of the raspberry. This would be a spectacular drink on a summers night when there is a slight chill to the air and you are dining alfresco with friends and family. It reminds me of the ending of spring and the beginning of summer.

Flavourly is Perfect for gifting and Mother’s day treats…

Not only do these make brilliant gifts, they are also a fantastic way to try more gin-based products that are not usually available on the high street. Flavourly have used a smaller artesian brand for this box which I believe it has worked perfectly with this box. I believe the flavor will be enjoyed by many. Another way in which I would use these gift boxes is for a small celebration as a more unique way to raise a toast for two. Or even for a girly night in with a friend. Personally, I would pop a set into a Mother’s Day hamper alongside some flowers and chocolates for a treat for my lovely mum who adores all things gin based.

If gin isn’t your thing then Flavourly also offer a Craft Beer Club where you can receive a monthly box full of delicious Craft Beer from across the globe. Or if you want more gin, check out their Gin Discovery Club for more delectable tipples. Flavourly has also been featured in Vogue, Daily Mail and on BBC Dragons’ Den. Overall, I would highly recommend Flavourly and their gift services.
