Portugal – the Algarve isn’t just your typical Brits abroad family holiday destination. With beautiful scenery and some amazing golf courses, you can rest assured that you’ll get the best of both worlds if you book a stay here. The weather is fairly reliable, not too hot but not too cold either so head to somewhere like Function 18 for your golfing gear and enjoy! The harbour town of Vilamoura has been turned into huge golf complex and has some of the most impressive courses you could wish for. What’s not to love?
Scotland – one of the most stunning places to golf is Scotland. With plenty of gorgeous sights to see and lots of tourist attractions to take in along the way, there couldn’t be a better place for those who love the great outdoors. If you are taking the family then do your research before you go as there are plenty of outdoor activities to do in Scotland that will keep everyone happy. Make a beeline for St Andrews and Fife in particular if you want to really embrace some of the best golfing on offer.
Florida – Florida doesn’t have to be all about Disneyland and epic family holidays. Although I definitely wouldn’t turn my nose up at one of those! While you can golf at Disneyland, the general feeling is that the courses do tend to get a little overcrowded. Some other places to try are Doral golf resort and spa (perfect for a relaxing break with your partner) and LaPlaya beach and golf resort. It’s worth thinking about what you want from your holiday and researching some of the top courses and locations based around your own personal needs.
Hawaii – Hawaii makes for a dream holiday destination whether you’re a golfer or not. With its stunning scenery, gorgeous surroundings and laid-back atmosphere, you’re already on to a winner. If you are looking for a gorgeous backdrop on every course you choose to play on, this is the place to be. Turtle Bay, Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and beautiful Kapalua are must-see stops.
